Rendezvous Film Festival (RFF) started September 25th 2007, as the Amelia Island Film Festival Co-founded by Tony McAdoo and Cathy Shultz. Our first screening was held at the Historic, and Florida's oldest saloon, The Palace. Although many changes have occurred since that day, we have not lost our focus, which is to inspire and promote independent filmmakers around the world.
On May 19, 2014, the Amelia Island Film Festival Board of Directors approved Re-Branding to create The Rendezvous Film Festival. RFF is the only Film and Music Festival in North Florida and Southeast Georgia. RFF is all about Entertainment: bringing the artists and community together for a 3 day celebration.
Tony McAdoo and Cathy Shultz co-founded the inaugural year of the Amelia Island Film Festival
Rendezvous Festival had a ribbon cutting with the Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island to retire the previous name, Amelia Island Film Festival.
RFF is a three day International and Domestic Film and Music Festival located on Amelia Island, Florida, which is one of Florida's best-kept secrets. Amelia Island is known for its luxury resorts, golf courses and beautiful sandy beaches
The world will be coming to Amelia Island to celebrate indie film, music, and gaming when the Rendezvous Festival kicks off in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach beginning June 5th and running through June 13th.
